Remove old XP

Hi Club,
I've had to reinstall XP, now I have two versions at login. How do I delete / remove the version that does not work??

Hi Proffessor Hawk and welcome to Club Vaio.

Right-click on Start -> Explore, Click on VAIO (C:) and find C:\BOOT.INI

Save a copy as BOOT.OLD

Right-click on BOOT.INI and choose 'OPEN' (Or choose 'Open With' and choose Notepad)

Edit the file by removing the version of Windows you don't need under [Operating Systems].

Save and close

Reboot

If you are not sure which one to delete, give us details of what you have installed on each Partition and we can help you choose!!!!



EDIT: Whatever you do, don't guess. If you get the wrong one your Vaio will not boot!!
