Just purchased a SZ71MN/B and cant get the LAN to work. How the hell do you get any one at Sony to talk to you

About your WiFi issue: 1) ensure switch is turned on and led is indicating turned on, 2) in Windows, wireless switch application is properly selected with 2.4Ghz and enabled. 3) If still NOK, check in device manager if wifi driver is properly installed. 4) ensure you are close your router (let your router in a standard configuration so your computer will detect wireless on 1st attempt).
